my wife have bought 4 pairs ski glooves, please advise us which brand is the best, really keeping hands warm and waterproof.

surprise! with 4 pairs and looking for more? both warm & waterproof is basic nowadays. anyway for the best head for the big name or the most expensive. :)

There are many different brands - Black Diamond, Burton, Dakine, Mountain Hardwear, Hestra, Kombi, Sypder etc etc.

Which is the best ? - your guess is as good as mine. :rolleyes:

Choose one that uses a fabric with GORE-TEX & XCR product technology to give waterproof and breathable performance. The palms and back of the hands ideally should be reinforced (with leather or similar) for extra strength (the sharp edges of your skis will cut your gloves open). A removable inner gloves is also a good choice.

If your hands get really cold, you can always put on ax extra pair of inner gloves.

I heard that it is common for lady to have cool feet and hands. If your 4 pairs of glove doesn't have waterproof issue, try those small warm pad which is small enough to be inserted into the gloves. That maybe the simplest / cheapest solution.

That is the general opinion.

If your hands are really cold, you can always put on a pair of inner gloves for extra warmth.

The better brand and model has a small pocket on the back of the hand where one can insert a small package of hand warmer. My gloves are SWANY, full leather; one of the best that I have used. Not Cheap......

Mine is Black Diamond - Legend. You don't need any hand warmer as it really keeps your hands very warm. But it costs me around HKD 9xx.
