I once put a 157 board in a Burton 156 bag with bindings and boot, it was very tight fit. After the trip the edge of my board cut open parts of my bag! So next time I put some protection on the edge and buy a bigger bag.

what is your weight

board length is more depending on weight than height

for example, i am 180 and 145 pounds and riding a 151 and it feels GREAT( park and gloomers)

much much easier to do tricks and cruising arround or jump into woods

i used to ride a 157 but it was too long and hard to perform tricks:(

i am 168 and 145 pounds and riding a 158 and it feels great for powder and gloomers. much more stable.

its all depends on your style and preference

the way you choose the length of your board is depend on your weight...
you need to read the chat/spec of the board...

Hey Fish, use a 157cm is better for your height is 170cm, once you go high speed and your actual riding rail would be too short if you use shorter boards, and you will skid just like a car turn on a curve road with no grip, can't hold well when you carve...as you skill gets better you will get use to a longer board.

其實呢位snowboarder揀呢塊係香蕉板黎喎, 點解會叫佢玩157呢? 佢只提供身高, 但冇講體重 (除非你假設佢屬於比較重) 佢亦未講會用黎玩咩, park? 跳台? 定其他呢? 咁都對佢揀板長有好大關係喎, 咁有限的資料應該唔足夠叫佢玩157... 呢d類似既情況時常發生, 真係要問清楚先揀板, 如果出去買板,個sales問得唔夠detail就話呢個0岩size就叫唔pro架啦! 睇身高而揀size唔係錯, 但數字好死, rider先係生, 我都希望大家唔好揀錯板, 好似rocky boy咁話: "equipment is important or it spoils your trip!:mad::mad:"
