I heard 北大湖 was bought by Laurence Ho's Melco Group and will revamp it in due course to become a western standard resort. I skiied in Yabuli a few weeks ago, also bought and revamped by Melco Group. Unfortunately, the resort just opened so a lot of runs and the nice new ski in ski out hotel not yet ready. It is quite a nice resort with scenic runs so should be good after everything settled. I only went because I went to Beijing for work so made a side trip, otherwise, not worth going all the way from HK since no direct flights to Harbin, and resort is another 3hrs away by car.
