Fish - you have missed all the fun!

John took some videos of us skiing, but the camera was somehow set on a wrong setting, so all videos are gone. :(

Personally, I think the mountain here is better than Naeba, but the Prince Hotel is a bit basic.
Nevertheless, John and I had a great time.

For skiing alone, Shigakogen is my facourite too. See you & Skier in HK soon then before I depart for Shiga. Hope we'll be as lucky as you snowwise:rolleyes:

Luckily the videos taken in the morning were okay. Here is a video clip of me skiing the beautiful snow.

Shigakogen is one of my favourite ski resorts in Japan too. I like how the mountains are all linked and skiable from one place to the next, unlike Hakuba.....

John, I may be able to save your deleted files. Try not using that card if you have a spare one. And the snow & skiing were nice indeed.

We were blessed - snow was falling the night we arrived.

The first day - fresh snow on the ground, sun was out, blue sky. Quick breakfast and out we went.

The second day - Cloudy and windy, most lifts were not running. Wind dropped in late morning and lifts gradually commenced operation.

The third and last day - snow had been falling overnight, beautiful day. Good snow, good weather, good skiing (as shown in the video taken by Matthew).

All in all, very nice trip. :)

Small correction - I have to credit Anthony M. for the great video work on the first video above. The videos I took always seemed to include the sky, the trees, the snow, even my boots, and only very occasionally the skier I was trying to film.

None but we are having a great time. We had powdery snow, ice and slush all in one day. Also,a most enjoyable lunch with Saso-san. The strawberry & cream and coffee set after skiing was good too.
