Nobody reads 'old' stuff anyway. :)
Of course not! It contains lot of valuable ski information. If possible, I really want the related posts could be restored to this new version.
If the old postings cannot be transferred to the new site, how about the authors of those popular postings re-post them by means of copy and paste - that should be easy enough although a bit time consuming. :confused:
I'm sure someone is willing to share the work load of copy and paste. However, we must ask the opinion of the original author first, how about if for example skier do not want to see them again ... :eek:

I think it should be a combined effort, not down to just a few individuals.
In my opinion, the author of the original posting should do the initial copy and paste. Also, I think most of the technical discussions should be copied to this new site.
Might be we can start a list of previous postings to be copied.
I do not think we need to 'copy and paste' most of the technical discussions here. Some are very lengthy. And since we have 'finished' with those discussions, we do not need to move them here.
However, when a certain technical issue comes about, say, by a 'new' member, anyone of us who remembers an article, discussion or video clip that we previously had in the 'old' forum, can go and copy and paste them here.
We have one year to do that.

You can get there by clicking '舊HKSSA網站' on the lower left corner of the 'home' page
btw, there is a way to convert databases, but it might cost too much. You need some really high level database admin and probramer to make the conversion, the cost might be as much as $50K US. So it is not practical to do that. We are here just for fun, not a business transaction.
It takes long time to collect all information. Don't let go easily.
