There are some thing wrong with the statitics:
平均氣溫零下23度, that is very cold, for the WHOLE season, even in November and March. You probably have to be in the North Pole to get that.
雪場雪厚50釐米, You cannot ski on 50cm base all season...
雪道最大坡度40度.. Not sure if it is 40% or 40 degree, more less it is 40%, I believe there is no 40 degree slope in China

Honously it really difficult to believe those figures are out of actual measurements and therefore be taken as statistics. However, looking at the geographic location (inland, up north) it is not impossible that the area is ski able by mid-November. I m thinking about give it a try. After all we skiers are looking for real snows( well, cheap snow for me).

go check a video posted in the "china resorts" section earlier this yr .. is a tv series of 王磊 (burton sponsored snowboarder in mainland china) boarding @ 长白山 .. all natural snow for 3-4 mths ..
亚布力 @ 黑龙江 is good as well .. only downside is the transport to the resort .. flight > train > bus .. pretty clumsy with all the gear ..
北大糊 @ 吉林 is another resort with reliable snow ..
万龙 is 4 hrs from beijing which is good as well .. went there and will go there maybe twice a mth in the coming season ..
all these resorts happen to have "extreme" weather conditions .. so be prepare !!!

frens did that quite often in beijing .. car itself is ok .. drivable !!!

afterall .. this is china !!!~~~
i will only go with local ski/board groups/clubs ..
as they have all the tips and "relationship 关系"..

the question is ..
why u guys wanna go skiing/boarding in northern china ?!?!
instead of korea and/or japan !!??
its cheaper here of coz ..
but 一分钱一分货 !!!~~~~~
the holidays (annual leaves) are PRICELESS to u all !!!
IMHO, unless you are local to China ski areas, it is not practical to make a special trip to ski in China in the near future。 Perhaps in 10 years。

I concur with Jack.

Thanks for your invitation, however, 南山 is not what I would like to visit in any time sooner。 If I have to drive 4 hours to 万隆 from BJ,for the same driving distance, we have 13 major resorts to choose from in Tahoe。I am spoiled with places like Squaw Valley or Kirkwood, so, I‘d rather do my work in BJ and come back to ski in a place that I can enjoy true 40 degree slope skiing or several natural half pipes that are over 1 mile long。。。。
