Earlier there were discussion on whether a dry slope can built in HK. It ended due to high building cost, high maintenance cost, unsuitable for HK wet and hot weather.

This idea targets on all the previous and try to start a new idea.

let us discuss on this.
Proposed Place :
Ocean Park Slope
Advantage : Cable Car bilut, modification to cable car needed.

Proposed Slope :
Air Conditioned Indoor SnowFlex Facility
Advantage : all year round, lower maintanance cost, comfortable environment.

Cost :
Refer to http://summerskiboston.com/SNOWFLEX_MEDIA_PACK0406.pdf
It mentioned a decent 25000 meter square site costs around 7M pound.

The ski facility has been discussed earlier but I still believe this is one thing we can have one day.

Monmonmon (meaning busy, busy, busy? or my, my, my in French?)

Did you have another 'name' in the old forum?

We had extensive discussions in the old forum, And I had meetings with the Ocean Park management:

And we have formed an ad hoc group to look into the issue with several meetings and discussions that were not privy to the general members -- the result was that it is not that probable to be realized in Hong Kong as a business venture.

Good for you.
Unless one can find someone willing to finance the project, otherwise just keep dreaming.

There were number of discussions in the old forum which gave the cost breakdown and the projected running cost - especially for an air conditioned indoor slope, please go through them in detail.

As Skier said earlier, senior management of Ocean Park had been approached with the idea. Unfortunately Ocean Park had other ideas of their own.
