I heard that other than going on the bullet train, there is a taxi service can be booked in advance to go directly to the ski resort.
Does anyone have any idea about this taxi service? If so, any contacts, please.
Thanks
Are you asking the airport direct service by Chuo Taxi?

:D
I were going to Shigakogen by CHUOTAXI from NARITA AIRPORT. The tour was a bit tough to us.... long traveling time from 1500 to 2100 including 2 stops in-between.
;)
I perfer to stay in tokyo at the first day and take BULLET TRAIN to SHIGAKOGEN (around 2 hours something, not sure) in the morning at the 2nd day. (:p It would be rush if directly going to SHIGAKOGEN at the first day) This would be rather comfortable compared with taking CHUOTAXI.

We used the Taxi this Feb. We travelled from Tokyo airport to Nozawa (one of the ski resorts in Nagano region). The service was excellent but not cheap. The taxi (a small van for maximum 9 persons) picked us up from Narita airport at the time we asked and transfered to the lodge in Nozawa. The door to door service costed 11,000 yen per person each way. The taxi stopped at the Motoway service centres for toilet breaks, meals etc. The drivers were good but could not speak other languages but Japanese.
However, their office could speak English. The email address is otoiawase@chuotaxi.co.jp.
Once u make your arrangement, they will give u a toll free phone number. U just ring the number at the airport. They will tell u to go the coach parking & they will pick u up straight away. Good & fast Service for someone don't want to travel by bullet train then change to small train or buses.
