Hello, i am the new-comer, I have never ski before but like skiing and would like to have some ski lessons oversea. Which places would you suggest for the beginner to learn skiing? Japan or Korea? Or any particular school? Thank you for all your help!
Why not learn the basic at slope8 before skiing oversea? It's not worth to
spend your trip on a bunny hill.
I think you may have some choices. Skiing with Freeskier (http://www.hkssa.net/member.php?u=475 (http://www.hkssa.net/member.php?u=475)) may be your first choice if you want to learn skiing in ski resort. He is an experienced ski and snowboard instructor. He has many positive comments from different threads in this forum.
Anyway, I agree with Pan's suggestion that Slope8 (http://www.slope8.com/) is a good choice for learning skiing. Skiers can learn skiing with a qualified instructor in a comfortable environment. Also, they can arrange the number of lessons based on their own learning progress. This link (http://www.hkssa.net/showthread.php?t=2275 (http://www.hkssa.net/showthread.php?t=2275))may provide some ideas about the learning experiences in Slope8.
You may also go to the indoor ski slope at Window of the World (http://home.netvigator.com/~waiypoon/Resorts/China/ShenZhen/ (http://home.netvigator.com/~waiypoon/Resorts/China/ShenZhen/)) that is located in Shenzhen, China. I was told ski instructor is available but I am not sure the quality.
Of course, a mixed approach is another choice. i.e., one may take lessons in Slope8 for learning the basic techniques and ski with Freeskier in the real slopes for working out and fun. Finally, I have to declare that I do not have any connection with the above parties.

It is recommended that you take proper lessons from a qualified ski instructor who can communicate and explain to you effectively, ie. fluent in English (I am presumming that you do not speak French, German or Japanese).
I suggest you:
take a few lessons in slope 8 for basics and strength your legs; and
buy a ski package in clubmed.
My experience is that, you will likely get a lesson in small group as it is very seldom to have complete beginner in clubmed.
After a week, you can at least ski over intermediate slopes and towarding to blacks.
A good starting can save you a lot of time and money.
