as my title says, I'm a casual skier who went snow once every two years. I was in few S.Korea resort and Kiroro of Hokkaido once. Finally I made my girl friend run from top of High1 down to the base and it's time for me to go ski again.

Considering the 5 days trip to 苗場, 白馬 or 志賀高原, I would like to ask:

1. which one is good for casual skier like me, especially more and longer green trail
2. the quality of the gear as we have to rent it from there
3. the quality of the snow

Thanks for your help in advance .. :D

p.s. my chinese typing slow so I just post english, any comment are welcome

Shiga Kogen may be the ideal one, hence it is largest ski area in Japan, dedicated areas for skiiers only, some long green runs, etc. :D

Jimmy's choice is my personal favourite.

To me, these 3 resorts are all good and each has its own unique favor. None let me down though. So the question is not about which one to go & which not to go; rather it is about which goes first.

If I have to take into consideration skill level (girl friend who just learnt skiing), my suggestion would be : (1) Naeba (2) Shiga (3) Hakuba.

When I say Naeba, I mean Naeba+Kagura.

For snow quality - if you pick the right time (e.g. Jan & Feb), none will let you down.

No worry about gear. You can always find it - whether you are willing to pay for higher price for higher quality is another matter :)
