The ROSSIGNOL Group announced an important safety recall involving their X-IUM and X-11 nordic ski boots produced after December, 2007.

They are recalling these boots because the soles may separate from the upper boot during use and result in the skier losing control and falling. Only a portion of the boots sold after December, 2007 and before June, 2009 is being recalled, and there is a simple visual inspection procedure that can determine if a specific pair of boots is being recalled. Boots shipped to USA prior to December 1, 2007 or after June 1, 2009 are not being recalled. There may be a 5 or 6 digit lot number stamped in the right boot under the removable insole. If there is no lot number, or if the lot number is not on the following list, the boots are not being recalled. Following is a list of the recalled lot numbers for these nordic ski boots.
