我剛由外地學完滑雪回來,一直好想買返對boot用.想問:

1.我係一名新手,有咩價錢合理又低用既品牌?(大約$2000~$3000)
2.香港有無鋪頭可以代訂?
3.聽人講話大陸有,係唔係係淘寶網買都ok?

1 & 2/. There is only one shop in HK, you can do a search in this website under the section "SKI 專用器材" for previous postings
eg. http://www.hkssa.net/showthread.php?t=21730

It won't be cheap in HK, suggest you buy elsewhere when you go skiing next time.

3/. You should buy ski boots in a proper ski shop with trained boot fitter to ensure proper fit and comfort.
Personally, I won't buy from 大陸網. :p

thanks to Mike's advice, i bought my first pair of ski boots at the shop in sheung wan 2 weeks ago.

it was not cheap but service was good. i changed my mind on the next day, they let me do an exchange.

agree with Mike - boot fitting is absolutely essential! the lady told me the boots i liked (look pretty) don't fit me coz my feet were too narrow.

you'll just end up spending more money if you buy online. coz it's unlikely that the boots will fit, and you have to buy another pair.

spent 5 days in niseko with my new boots, they fit really well and i can turn more easily. love them! :cool: rental boots were horrible!

if i had a longer holiday, i could try to buy in Japan... may be cheaper and more choice...

It won't be cheap in HK, suggest you buy elsewhere when you go skiing next time.


Just to clarify why I suggest buying when you go skiing next time, it is because of choice, there are more (different made and models) to choose from.
Also, if you buy at or near a ski resort, any discomfort you experienced after the first day of skiing can be rectified by the boot fitter straight away.

Personally, it's super expensive if it is not the latest high end model. HK$3500 = approx. US$4xx, we can buy very good quality and the latest model in US and Canada.

oh well, i know... this is hk ma... i saw the same model selling on the internet for about 300 usd. but no choice ma...

well, considering people pay thousands for a designer bag... i don't think it's too bad la... as long as my feet are comfortable...

yes Lawrence, price does including fitting service. and they say you can bring them back to the shop for adjustments free of charge.

Yes, quite true.
I cannot understand why people will spend a thousand bucks on a pair of plastic flip-flop or thousands of dollars on a red white blue plastic bag. :eek: :confused:

once upon a time i accompanied a girl into a botique in ocean center. I was shocked to see even a simple clothing cost like 1x,xxx, there r some even lot more expensive, not to mention. how many lunch box for me each new t-shirt? :)
