There is a source for heat-cured, cross-linking epoxy resin.
Drying time 24hr for greater strength.
Once order, there is no refund and no return
1.8 Kg/pack, about 80-90 USD depend on delivery charge
Any body interested, please send me a 訊息
Sharing are welcome!!

Have you got more detail / specification of this epoxy, does it come in two "tooth-paste" type packing and you mix them up when required?

Also, 1.8kg is a lot - what is the shelf life?

Hi Mike,
i just got very prelim info.
Beside expiry date, What the country origin is one of my concern?
As it is quite expensive, i will get more info. if more are interested and what they are concerned of?

i got a impulse to buy a pack by myself as the damage was over a month. But it seems a lot and same concern as you.

By the way, what i can get a base wax? i saw in websit before skiing season but now is out of sign. Before waxing with vaseline, i brake with reading yr post

Thanks

Nicola,
I did a Ski Technican Course in UK last year. In the Course, apart from waxing, edge tuning and basic boot fitting, we were taught how to repair the base with different materials (depending on the size, how deep and location). If the damage is close to the metal edge, then a patch of the base has to be cut out and the repair patch has to be glued to the cut-out with epoxy resin, clamped and then heat treated the repair area with a special iron for about half hour. If heat treatment is not available then the repair (clamped) has to be left overnight to dry.

The epoxy resin (proper stuff) that we used comes in tube form and you mix the two (glue & hardener) together in the quantity required. They are very very expensive and since I am not going to set up a ski workshop business nor going to service any skis other than my own, I cannot see I will need to buy this epoxy resin, because like all chemicals, there is a shelf life especially once it is opened.

I suggest you have your board repair in a workshop next time you go skiing rather than paying a lot of money just for the small amount of epoxy which you are going to need - just not worth it.

However, if you are not particular, and the damage to your board is minor, do the repair just as others have suggested in your previous posting - no harm.

As for the waxes, I bought my Holmenkol ski wax from the UK. If I need more, I just place the order and they will send them to me by courier.
