See John Clendenin, Lito and Stefan Kaelin in action on a Slope8 type small deck and their talk on skiing:

Skier, maybe you want to add those moveable tubes on the front bar of your small deck.

That is a good idea, but on second thought, it has its drawbacks because some people may not want it to be so 'movable' expecially snowboard students.

You can make them small and leave them on the side when not in use. Worth a try?

Then it will be a bare steel bar and no padding - what happens when a snowboarder student bang onto it when trying to do a 180 or 360 switch .....or even a ski student slip their hands and hit the bar with their head?

Another thing is that, I think it is better without the movable tubing, and just slide the hands over the padding (as we do now), then get the habit of holding on 'tightly' onto something in front.

it seems easily to practice single leg if use the moveable bar.:)
