Dear CHings,

May I know where I can more readily find an English-speaking coach, Echigo Yuzawa or Niseku?

Thanks.

Dear 'Chings'? Do you know that it is rude to call Chinese 'Chings'.

What nationality are you?

BTW, I think among all the ski resort in Japan, Niseko got most English speaking instructors . You shouldn't have any problem finding one here.

Allergic,

Sorry for misunderstanding you.

Freeskier is your best choice as an English/Chinese speaking instructor in Niseko if he has the time - he is well sought after - no kidding !

Dear "ALL",

Sorry for making you upset with common web phrase.
I also need to thank for your information.

No offence, may I know the origin of your concerns? I have made some web searches but yield nothing.

Well, I thought 'Chings' were used as a derogatory reference to the Chinese race

But you are right, I cannot find it in any references. Perhaps I got it wrong.

Perhaps only 'Chink' is derogative.

Sorry

Skier, I do not think you are wrong. We (Chinese) quite often were addressed by the Caucasian as "Ching" or "Chink" or "Hongkie". I guessed because they think it is funny.

Actually, it is derogatory to address other races using these type of address, (eg. calling black people "ni##er" or people from Pakistan "Pac#y etc).
