1. Deer Valley, Utah - Groom to Zoom, it's deluxe. There's no better destination resort.
2. Vail, Colorado - Vail has a "wow factor" that other resorts lack. Everything is here for whatever you need in a ski vacation.
3. Whistler Blackcomb, British Columbia - Amazing skiing. Huge, beautiful mountain.
4. Snowmass, Colorado - The perfect destination resort for families. The proximity of Highlands, Buttermilk, and Aspen can make anyone giddy for at least a week.
5. Park City Mountain Resort, Utah - Good terrain diversity. Great place to take a family vacation - or raise a family.
6. Beaver Creek, Colorado - Beaver Creek is everything it should be - a great vacation spot for families, with skiing from groomers to bumps, all wrapped around great service.
7. Aspen, Colorado - Absolutely beautiful. An awesome place to see, ski, and be seen.
8. Steamboat, Colorado - Real ski town, real people, real powder. A total package.
9. Breckenridge, Colorado - Big mountain. A great, real ski town. Can be cold.
10. Telluride, Colorado - This is a place any serious skier should go.
11. Sun Valley, Idaho - Big mountain. No liftlines. Old-style luxury and great terrain. The original.
12. Mammoth Mountain, California - Huge but easy to get around. Very California.
13. The Canyons, Utah - Easy access from the airport. Surprised by the size of the mountain. Confusing layout.
14. Jackson Hole, Wyoming - Massive vertical. Fabulous town. Terrain, terrain, terrain.
15. Squaw Valley, California - A giant playground. Never boring and always challenging.
16. Keystone, Colorado - Great family destination. Easy to get to, which makes you want to return.
17. Heavenly, California - The gondola into the town is great. Lots to do after skiing. Big: It's like skiing two mountains.
18. Aspen Highlands, Colorado - Awesome expert inbounds skiing. Friendly people. Very intimate and very local.
19. Copper Mountain, Colorado - Still kind of a secret. Great skier's mountain for all abilities.
20. Crested Butte, Colorado - Expert terrain is stellar. Friendliest place I've been. New improvements are working.
