Where should go to buy snowboard equipments?

If i want to buy snowboard gears, should I buy them in Hong Kong or at some online stores? Or wait until I go to 御茶之水滑雪用品街 in Japan? :confused:

If you could find your ideal model in HK, certainly it is good idea. There 2 major stores in HK e.g. X-gxme in Central and Ixland Wxke in CWB import some gears every season.

Ochanomizu, Japan should be largest source in Asia for snowboard gears. Many of choices as well as JP limited editions. However, due to living standard and strong JPY recently, the price for same item is even more expensive than in US online stores.

Online shopping from US is the most popular way to HK snowboarders, there are many of choices of new models or off-season sale. Nevertheless, you have to aware the shipping cost as well as the reputation of the store. Select the trusted store is always number one priority.

Be reminded, some gears are preferrable to try before buy unless you are certain it fits you e.g. snowboard boots, apparel, etc.
