I think we are only allowed to stay in Japan for maximum 3 months. So, do we need a work visa?

Also, any info on accomodation.

It is seeking cheap labour to serve the tourist from all over the world. A friend of mine, whose son just finish High School in Australia did one term in Nesiko and just gain enough for the return ticket to Sydney. On the high side, you could have cross culture experience and do the ski in your spare time. Normally, night ski after working hrs.

I don't think SkiJapan is seeking cheap labour. They are seeking Chinese speaking staff to satisfy the growing Chinese market. It is obviously not a job for good money, but rather for an experience to work in a foreign country esp in a wonderful place like in Niseko.

If you insist it is cheap labour. I'll have to agree too. Ski industry never pays well.... I worked many seasons in Whistler, but I cannot remember a year that I could break even. Transportation, accomodation, food, equippments , all cost a fortune. But that doesn't stop me from working in a snowy place during the winter.

Thank you for your comments. Yes the Chinese market is growing and has great potential for more growth and therefore there is a need for Chinese representative for the front line. SkiJapan.com has been operating since 1995 and every year we hire seasonal staffs. I see this opportunity as a package, rather than simply a pay check, and I trust our applicants' judgement when it comes to signing employment contract with us. Think about it and if you are interested to apply, don't afraid to ask!

Thank you for your reply. I understand that for those who have permanent jobs, it's not a good idea to come. If you know anyone who are interested, or if you have chance next year, we are more than happy to hear from you! Thank you!

Hi SkiJapan,

My wife is definitely someone you should look for.
She is native mainland chinese, speaks fluent German, fair in English and Cantonese. She has been snowboarding for 5 years mainly in Europe. Always with a smile on her face makes people very comfortable to talk with. We can send you more details including her work experience regarding Cashier in Germany.
Is any one of these openings the front desk service staff you are looking for? I could not find the application page.
Guest Relations :
Resort Representatives (Seasonal)
Airport Desk Service Staff (Seasonal)
Niseko Base Snowsports :
NBS Customer Service Assistants (Seasonal)
Ski Rental Technicians (Seasonal)

We are currently traveling in Hokkaido until Sept 18 perhaps there is a chance for an interview?

Regards
steve

I think everyone should understand that the majority of the work in the ski industry are not "well paid". Except private class instructors. Most people wash dishes/chalet cleaning/be a lift attendant because they can support the love of ski/ride. Was working in US/NZ and I dun think I broke even with plane ticket/rent/equipment/

The choice of lifestyle comes before monetary return for people working in the ski industry

Working in Niseko would be an opportunity that not many HKers can experienece. I would love to work in Niseko~

awaiting for reply

Hi, SkiJapan.com. I sent the application on 24th September. and sent an enquiry on 26th asking the job vacancies, then I received a reply from your colleague telling me most jobs were filled. So does it meant if I do not receive any comfirmation mail, my application is probably denied ?
Thank you !
